Opera on the eeepc

I do like opera so as soon as I got my eeepc I decided to put it on and followed the instructions on the eeeuser wiki. Unfortunately upon running it I got the following error:

ERROR: ld.so: object 'libjvm.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored.

ERROR: ld.so: object 'libawt.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored.

My quest to solve this initially ended with me killing Firefox and having to reinstall the operating system from the DVD so I got to thinking... if it was a problem with opera not finding java perhaps I should tell it where it is...:

/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-sun-1.5.0.10/jre/lib/i386

This is on a fully updated version though so your millage may vary...

Now to play with the simple interface and get it to run nicely while keeping Firefox...
