Honeymoon

The Garden at Riyad Charai

We left the UK from London Luton at 06:00 on the 1st of December on flight FR3506 and arrived at Marrakesh 09:30ish. After taking a bus into the Medina we got off at Djemaa el Fna where we got bloody lost... a lot... before taking a petit taxi to Bab El-Khemis where we got lost again before finally getting to Riad Charai. The Riyad was lush but the surroundings were less so TBH.

After 2 days we went by Supratours bus to Essaouira where we'd been booked into a Riad for a couple of nights by a friend... unfortunately we got there a day early so had to find alternative accommodation. After again getting lost (a lot) we stopped overnight in Hotel Riad Zahra, don't get room 13 though as the bed is not the most comfortable in the whole world... Moroccan TV is a scream though - especially if you can't understand Arabic.

Upon waking we made our way to Hôtel Dar L'Oussia, which was cool as it had underfloor heating though it was only available for 2 nights as they closed for the weekend so we then went to Maison du Sud which wasn't as nice but wasn't that bad TBH.

We did sort of plan to stop for 2 nights but instead left the next day to go visit Katrina's friend Fatima and her lovely family at Imi-n-Tanoute where we were invited to stop overnight. We went there and subsequently returned to Marrakesh in grand taxis.

Upon returning to Marrakech we stopped at the Ibis near the train station for the final 2 nights before returning on flight FR3507 on the 10th of December 2008.
